Caitlin Conway received her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she also earned a certificate in Intellectual Property and Technology Law. As a law student, she served as Articles Editor on the USF Law Review and co-founded the USF Fashion Law Society.
Caitlin gained experience in trademark clearance and prosecution practice through her work with USF’s Internet & Intellectual Property Justice Clinic and through a clerkship with a boutique San Francisco IP firm. In the summer of 2014, after completing an intensive seminar in European IP law in Rome, she served as an extern in the Paris office of the intellectual property firm Casalonga & Partners. Her article, “Taylor Swift to Trademarks: You Belong With Me─Does Intellectual Property Law Leave a Blank Space for the Protection of Short Phrases Taken from Song Lyrics?” is pending publication in USF’s Intellectual Property Law Bulletin, Volume 20.
