BIOGRAPHY

Elena Benavente is Harvey & Company’s Senior Trademark Specialist and litigation paralegal. She brings over twenty years of experience managing all phases of the prosecution, maintenance and enforcement of global trademark, domain name, trade dress, and copyright portfolios and managing and supporting trademark enforcement litigation both inside companies and as a trademark administrator supporting outside law firms.

Elena has worked both as an in-house paralegal and with nationally known law firms helping to clear and manage the brands of such well-known companies as CNET, Palm, Inc., Wi-Fi Alliance, Lucasfilm, Ltd. LLC, PAREXEL International, Inc. and Rockstar, Inc. Her litigation support responsibilities have included assisting in trademark enforcement litigation for E. & J. Gallo Winery, Jack Daniel’s Properties, Inc., Intel Corporation, and Pinterest, Inc. Among her positions as part of the professional legal staff of private companies, Elena served as Intellectual Property Manager of Bare Escentuals, Inc. and Senior Legal Specialist of Benefit Cosmetics, in which she was responsible for the management of both companies’ global trademark portfolio registration and enforcement matters.

Elena regularly attends the International Trademark Association’s (INTA’s) professional seminars and workshops, and has hosted roundtable discussions for the organization. She currently serves as Chair of the Global Portfolio Management Subcommittee of INTA’s Trademark Administrator’s Committee.

Elena grew up and was educated in San Francisco. She speaks Spanish fluently.
